Have you ever wondered what would have been a typical Thanksgiving menu served in George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore House? We were able to find a handwritten menu from November 24, 1904 in our archives!

Thanksgiving Dinner [eight courses]

Oysters on 1/2 shell

Consommé Royal

Broiled Spanish Mackerel

Cutlets of Calves Brains
Mushroom Sauce

Roast Turkey - Cranberry Jelly
