Horticulture

Biltmore offers “one-of-a-kind” horticultural internship opportunities for college students to further their classroom knowledge, gain valuable practical expertise, and improve their leadership skills. Each intern will specialize in one of nine horticulture internship areas throughout the property, comprising an 8,000-acre travel destination, five unique horticulture areas, historic gardens, grand landscaping projects, and more.

Highlights include structured learning experiences in historic garden design and grounds maintenance, arboriculture, field-to-table production, and/or general landscaping; an opportunity to learn additional aspects of budget, labor, and project management; and the chance to enhance your people and workplace skills. Field trips are scheduled to local arboretums, gardens, and nurseries.

These paid internship opportunities last 3-6 months and are available during most semesters. Housing is not provided.
