& Emmylou Harris

Thursday, August 28

8:00 p.m. on Biltmore's South Terrace

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. He’s won 4 GRAMMYs for hits that include “Cowboy Man,” “Give Back My Heart,” and more.

A 13-time GRAMMY winner and Billboard Century Award recipient, Emmylou Harris’ contribution as a singer and songwriter spans 40 years. She has recorded more than 25 albums and has lent her talents to countless fellow artists’ recordings. In recognition of her remarkable career, Harris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008.
