Cooking Demo at the Bistro - Professional Grilling Techniques

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Included with estate admission.

Join us at the Bistro, where Chef Paul Klaassen will demonstrate techniques and share basic recipes for the home kitchen!


The cooking demo is free; however, advance registration is required, as there is limited seating. You are invited to stay after the demo for a three-course lunch featuring highlights from the class ($29 per person). Please tell the reservationist if you plan to stay for lunch.

We're hosting the twenty-second annual Biltmore Challenge Endurance Rides, which will include: 

Friday, May 1: 25-mile limited distance, 55 miles, 75 miles
Saturday, May 2: 30-mile limited distance, 50 miles, 75 miles, 100 miles

Come experience Biltmore Wine at Big Bottles & Blues. This is Charlotte Wine & Food's largest event—a vibrant, yet casual celebration in Uptown Charlotte's Founders Hall, featuring all of the Weekend's winery guests and their wines, music and terrific cuisine. Live and Silent auctions will feature rare large format bottles of wine, from magnums to six liters, along with trips, jewelry, wine dinners and more. Come and experience one the the country's best Wine & Food festivals, all in the name of charity.

Riders enjoy an opportunity to further their horsemanship skills in an enclosed setting by completing a set of 8 obstacles along an obstacle course. Riders can bring multiple horses. Enjoy lunch and awards following the competition. Ribbons and ACTHA Bucks will be awarded for Open, Pleasure, Scout, and Junior Divisions 1st - 6th place.

Take part in our annual celebration and judging of Biltmore's International Rose Trials with a special package offer. The package starts with a reception in the Rose Garden on Friday evening, May 23, hosted by Biltmore's gardeners and the expert panel of rose judges. Then spend Saturday learning how we judge the roses and celebrating the winners with lunch and an awards ceremony.

This clinic will focus on Centered Riding basics that will help you help your horse to move up through the training scale. Biomechanics of the horse and rider will also be a topic of discussion. All disciplines welcome.
