A Gardener’s Place Seminars

Please join us in A Gardener’s Place Gift Shop, located beneath the Conservatory, for daily free demonstrations featuring gardening and floral topics.

 

Spring Seminars:
1:00 p.m.—Exquisite orchids for beginners
2:00 p.m.—Nurturing treasured houseplants

Admire the progression of blossoms throughout all the gardens this spring, ranging from daffodils and stunning tulips to beautiful azaleas and fragrant roses. Biltmore House joins the festivities as well, with a bountiful display of orchids in the indoor Winter Garden and stunning arrangements throughout.

During Biltmore Blooms, our gardens come to life with gorgeous blossoms. Inside Biltmore House, we complement the grounds in the Winter Garden. This glass-domed room was a place to relax and entertain surrounded by lush plants and flowers. During this time only, you can step down into the room just as George and Edith Vanderbilt’s guests might have. Sit and enjoy music and the fabulous collection of fragrant, exotic orchids.

Cooking Demo at the Bistro - Making Fresh Cheese at Home

Join us at the Bistro, where Chef Paul Klaassen will demonstrate techniques and share basic recipes for the home kitchen!


The cooking demo is free; however, advance registration is required, as there is limited seating. You are invited to stay after the demo for a three-course lunch featuring highlights from the class ($29 per person). Please tell the reservationist if you plan to stay for lunch.
