Charity Bedding Collection
The opulent, deep teal chenille and gold filigree accents in this lovely over-sized damask woven bedding collection found its inspiration from the historic tapestries hanging in the Tapestry Gallery at Biltmore. Positioned off the Entrance Hall, this 90-foot-long room served as a sitting area. The space was designed to display three of the seven silk-and-wool tapestries that were part of The Triumph of the Seven Virtues which were woven in Brussels around 1530. These three tapestries, which are currently on display in the Tapestry Gallery, are distinguished by richly detailed pictorial designs that personify Prudence, Faith, and Charity and incorporate biblical, mythological, and historical images.
