Biltmore Celebrates Spring With New Collections

Biltmore's licensing division, specializing in products inspired by the historic Biltmore House and gardens, announces home décor collections that pay homage to the famed Festival of Flowers, an annual event highlighting Biltmore's stunning gardens in full bloom. The Festival of Flowers will celebrate its 25th year in 2010 from April 3 through May 16.
To commemorate the anniversary, Biltmore is showcasing a number of popular collections for outdoor living and indoor collections that bring the beauty of spring into the home. The company is also unveiling a brand new collection of custom frames from Larson-Juhl, perfect for framing garden blooms or fine art.
"Spring is one of the most celebrated times at Biltmore," said Tim Rosebrock, vice president and general manager of Biltmore's licensing division. "We're pleased to offer a variety of products that represent the exuberance of spring and outdoor living, as well as several great new collections that capture the timeless elegance of Biltmore."
In a year of exciting anniversaries, Biltmore's licensing division marks 20 years of product inspiration and development in 2010. The company continues to introduce new collections from its 50 active partners, including furniture, bedding, tabletop, cookware, custom frames, accessories, cabinetry, flooring, outdoor décor and many other products for the home and garden.
Spring Inspirations from Biltmore
New! The Billiard Collection by Larson-Juhl
The newest custom frame collection from Larson-Juhl is inspired by the decor and detailing of Biltmore's Billiard Room. This rich collection of frames is classically ebonized to capture the masculine feel of the Billiard Room, while classic profiles are reminiscent of traditional styling throughout the house. Traditional designs include lamb's tongue, beads, egg and dart, and rope styling for timeless appeal. Prices for Larson-Juhl's Biltmore frames range from $38 per foot to $102 per foot.
New! Rhododendron Wall Hanging by Manual Woodworkers & Weavers
Featuring a rhododendron design inspired by the magnificent gardens of Biltmore, this limited edition wall hanging celebrates the 25th anniversary of Biltmore’s Festival of Flowers. The complete Festival of Flowers collection includes a tapestry woven runner, wall hanging, throw and two reversible pillows depicting signature Biltmore flowers such as tulip, lily, dogwood and iris. Made in the USA, the Rhododendron Wall Hanging measures 26” x 36” and may retail for $42.
New! Festival Comforter Set by Belk
This floral bouquet bedding ensemble is inspired by the Festival of Flowers in the gardens at Biltmore, where hundreds of flowering shrubs, trees and tulips come alive in a sea of spring colors. Set includes comforter, 18-inch bedskirt and two shams. Matching draperies sold separately. The queen-sized set may retail for $268.
Opulence China by Belk
The Victorian floral and lace patterns of this elegant china are inspired by the opulence of Biltmore House and its stunning gardens at the height of their beauty. Pieces from this lovely collection retail between $7 and $52 each.
New! Finesse – Gate House by Capel Rugs
Inspired by the intricate scrollwork from the wrought iron gates at Biltmore House, the Finesse – Gate House collection is both a licensed Biltmore® For Your Home design and a Capel Anywhere™ rug. Made of pure olefin for indoor and outdoor durability, this elegant floor covering is machine woven in Belgium and is available in the colorways red, black and chocolate. A 5’3” x 7’6” rug may retail for $159.
Classical Fleur Urn by Unique Stone
Inspired by fleur-de-lis design carved into the exterior columns at Biltmore House, these generous urns add a stately elegance to any outdoor living space. The 31.5"h x 28"w size may retail for $538; the 27.5"h x 28"w size may retail for $269.
