George W. Vanderbilt's pursuit of lifelong learning inspired the creation of The Biltmore® Center for Professional Development. His quest for knowledge and excellence is still woven into everything we do today. Mr. Vanderbilt chose the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains as the setting for his grand home. He desired this oasis in particular as a way to find clarity outside of our busy world.
Biltmore Estate offered an opportunity to address problems in new and creative ways, without distraction. We still believe that this "oasis mentality" not only provides rest, but an outlet to approach challenges from a different angle.
