Basic Segway Tours

This guided tour begins with a thorough training conducted by our expert guides. Once all riders are comfortable with their Segways, the tour will begin down a paved path to the Lagoon. This tour covers 3.5 miles on a paved trail and will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Cost: $50.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.
Off-Road Segway Tours

This guided tour consists of paved and off-road surfaces. After a very thorough instruction and off-road training exercises, your expert guide will lead the way down a paved path to the Lagoon. From the Lagoon, the tour continues on hard-packed dirt and gravel surfaces. Before making your way back, you will take a break and enjoy a wonderful view of Biltmore House. This tour covers 5.5 miles on paved and off-road trails and will take approximately 2 hours.
Cost: $75.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.
West Side Segway Tours

After training, this tour will cross the French Broad River to the west side of Biltmore's estate. Stopping along the way, guests will enjoy beautiful views and interesting facts about Biltmore's historic and current agricultural facilities. This tour covers approximately seven miles on gravel and dirt roads, and will take approximately 2.5 hours.
Cost: $100.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.

Guests who have previously joined us on the Off-Road Segway Tour may have the opportunity for a more challenging Segway ride. This guided ride up the more technical Deerpark Trail will take you all the way to the south terrace of Biltmore House.
Cost: $100.00 per person, in addition to estate admission.
Segway Rider's Checklist
- Riders must weigh between 100 lbs. and 250 lbs. Riders will be required to step on a scale to verify weight.
- Riders must be at least 13 years old.
- Flat-soled shoes are required. Shoes also must be closed toe with a strap on the back. No high-heeled shoes, sandals, or open-toed shoes allowed.
- Riders must be able to step up 8 inches to a platform unassisted and maintain balance.
- Riders must be able to listen to and respond to guide's instructions.
- A parent or guardian must accompany youth under 18 years old, and sign their liability release.
- Please arrive at the Outdoor Adventure Center 15 minutes prior to reservation time. The Outdoor Adventure Center phone number 828-225-1425.
- Everyone is encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses and cameras. There is a pouch on the front of the Segway to carry belongings. Riders may not wear backpacks to prevent uneven distribution of weight.
- Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by the Outdoor Center.
- Riders will be required to read and sign a statement of awareness and liability waiver.

An Explore Biltmore Pass provides all the benefits of a Twelve-Month Pass, plus access to estate bicycle trails at no additional cost, and discounts on select outdoor experiences. This discount benefit may be extended to one non-passholder guest. Guest must have estate admission.
