The Biltmore Legacy

The Vanderbilts at Home and Abroad

Now Open
Come experience an intimate look at historic Biltmore and the family that created it during our Legacy exhibition, The Vanderbilts at Home and Abroad. Included in your Biltmore admission, this new exhibition in the Legacy building at Antler Hill Village sheds light on the time the Vanderbilts spent together as a family at Biltmore and beyond.

Explore the lives of George, Edith, and Cornelia Vanderbilt at home and in their travels throughout Europe and the Far East. You'll see items such as an extraordinary collection of Samurai armor and weapons, an intricate Cartier vanity and lipstick case, and a vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle (on loan courtesy of The Wheels Through Time Museum).

The fascinating story of the fateful decision that saved the Vanderbilts from perishing on Titanic will also be told. Several objects will be on display, courtesy of the Titanic Museum Attraction and Eric Sauder and Brian Hawley of www.LuxuryLinerRow.com.

Then, learn more about the Vanderbilts with a short film narrated by George Vanderbilt's great-granddaughter, Dini Cecil Pickering.

Plan your visit to see our new exhibition today, included in your estate admission.
