Spring Garden
Sheltered by a cathedral grove of white pines and hemlocks, the Spring Garden dazzles the eye with spring's brightest blooming shrubs: azaleas, forsythia, spirea, deutzia and Mock Orange. Also look for pink Lady's Slippers, May Apples, Flowering Quince, Sweet Shrub, rhododendrons, Beauty Bush, and the Kousa Dogwood. A special treat in May is the Dove Tree on the eastern side of the garden, whose branches drip with brilliant white flowers.
