Self-Guided Visit of Biltmore House

Your admission includes a self-guided visit to Biltmore House. Stroll through America's largest home on a marked route, assisted by knowledgeable guides along the way. This tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. You'll drink in all the amazing sights of architecture, artwork, and much more from the Gilded Age. Also includes your free visit to Antler Hill Village and Winery, with free Winery tour and tasting.

Our other richly informative and entertaining guided specialty tours, below, will immerse you in the history and atmosphere of Biltmore. All prices are in addition to estate admission.

Audio Guide to Biltmore House

Capture the feeling of being guided through Biltmore’s grand rooms by our curators and hosts. On this 90-minute tour, you’ll learn about the Vanderbilts, their guests, and their servants, in addition to the surrounding architecture, design, and artwork.

Kids’ Audio Guide to Biltmore House

This fun and entertaining 90-minute tour is narrated by Cedric, the Vanderbilts’ Saint Bernard. Cedric guides young guests through amazing rooms in Biltmore House, sharing stories about the Vanderbilts and living in America’s largest home.

Guided Biltmore House Tour

This tour is not available January 12 - March 19.

On this guided 90-minute tour, hear interesting stories about parties in the house, information on artifacts, personalities of friends who visited, and ways the family spent time on the estate.

Cost: $17 per person

Architect’s Tour

This tour is not available January 12 - March 19.
On this guided 60-minute tour, get a closer look at the design and construction of Biltmore House by touring areas not on the regular house visit – including stunning views and photo opportunities from the rooftop and balconies.

Cost: $17 per person

Biltmore House Butler’s Tour

See how Biltmore House functioned, past and present, and learn about the work of the domestic servants during this 60-minute guided tour of unrestored rooms and mechanical areas not open to the public on the regular house visit. Offered daily at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 pm., and 2:30 p.m. Advance reservations are required.

Cost: $17 per person

Vanderbilt Family & Friends Tour

This tour is not available January 1 - May 25.
Imagine staying at Biltmore with the Vanderbilts as your hosts. This tour takes you to bedrooms not on the regular house visit and living spaces outfitted with clothing and accessories from the 1900s. Hear stories about customs of the age and tales of the fascinating people who visited Biltmore.

Cost: $17 per person

Premium Biltmore House Tour

Tour the house for two hours with a guide assigned exclusively to you. Includes areas seen in the Butler’s Tour, Architect’s Tour, and House Tours. Offered daily at 10:30 a.m. Two-day advance reservations are required.

Cost: $150 per adult, $75 per child

*Discounts apply to one Passholder and one accompanying guest. Advance reservations are required for guided tours, wine experiences, and outdoor activities as space is limited. Valid Annual Pass must be presented at the time of your tour. Biltmore reserves the right to cancel any tour or activity if certain requirements are not met or due to inclement weather. Discounts are not valid on Saturdays and Christmas Day through New Year's Day. Biltmore Annual Passes are nontransferable and nonrefundable.

Tour of Estate Grounds

Legacy of the Land Tour

Take a motor coach tour of the estate and learn about the history of the land, structures, and former residents. You’ll visit areas not usually open to guests. Offered daily at 1:00 p.m. Advance reservations are recommended.

Winery Tours

Vine to Wine Tour

This tour is not available this winter.
Explore how Biltmore grapes become our award-winning wines. Visit areas on the estate not normally seen by guests, including a trip to the vineyards and a walking production tour. Sample wine tastings throughout the tour and conclude with a grand tasting.

Cost: $85 per person. Guests must be 21 years of age to attend.

Red Wine & Chocolate Seminar

Discover why chocolate and red wine are a match made in heaven. Offered daily at 2:00 p.m. Register at the Winery entrance in Antler Hill Village.

Cost: $20 per person. Guests must be 21 years of age to attend.

Biltmore Bubbles Tour

This 45-minute program allows estate guests to fully experience our sparkling wines. Guests will tour the champagne bottling room, learn our sparkling wine making process, and taste all six of Biltmore’s sparkling wines. Offered Friday - Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $18 per person. Guests must be 21 years of age to attend.
