Bring Your Family to Biltmore
Explore a real-life castle, hike, bike, and ride Segways along beautiful trails, or meet friendly animals at our Farm in Antler Hill Village. Biltmore was created as the ultimate family getaway and remains a perfect escape for families.
Good to Know
- Ages 9 and under are admitted free with a paying parent or guardian.
- Ages 9 and under eat free at Deerpark Restaurant.
- Shoes with exposed wheels are not permitted in estate buildings for safety reasons. Remove wheels before entering any building.
- Strollers are welcome on the estate. Lightweight travel strollers or child backpack carriers are recommended for use in Biltmore House because of the number of stairs involved in the visit.
Ideas for Young Children
- Visiting the estate involves a lot of walking. Because little feet can get tired, strollers are welcome on the estate. Specifically, lightweight travel strollers are recommended due to the number of stairs on the Biltmore House visit.
- Tailor your Biltmore House visit to your child's attention span and energy level. Take a breather and visit the Ice Cream Parlor or Bake Shop for a quick snack or water break.
- Run wild! Burn off pent–up energy with a race to the top of the Vista in front of Biltmore House.
- Meet friendly farm animals in our Farmyard in Antler Hill Village.
- Take a juice break at the Winery in Antler Hill Village. Young guests receive complimentary grape juice in the Tasting Room.
- Pedal as fast as you can on our paved bike path to the Lagoon. Bring your bike or rent one from us.
Ideas for Children 11 and older
- Feel like you're on top of the world with Biltmore House's Architect's Tour. You'll see unrestored areas of the house and enjoy a bird's-eye view of the estate from the roof.
- Create an original work of art. Bring a sketchpad and pencils, and draw pictures of Biltmore House, flowers in the Walled Garden, and geese by the Lagoon.
- Watch our blacksmith and woodcarver work at the Barn in Antler Hill Village. See how raw metal is shaped with heat and hammers, and observe as our carver transforms chunks of wood.
