Biltmore House & Gardens will open to the public for special viewings of Chihuly’s stunning large-scale glass sculptures after dark. Chihuly Nights at Biltmore—by reservation only—is an enchanting opportunity to witness the effects of dramatic nighttime lighting upon the luminous colors and graceful forms of these spectacular installations. Sunset over the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, live music in the gardens, and a wine bar make the evening experience all the more enticing. Chihuly’s towering works of art illuminated against a night sky surrounded by the timeless beauty of Biltmore House & Gardens: a truly moving, memorable experience.

 

Reservations required; guests must have an evening admission. Biltmore Annual Passholders enjoy a $20 savings per admission.

Vanderbilt Travels Railway

Learn about George Vanderbilt’s international railway travels with this one-of-a-kind 250-foot model train display! Featuring architectural elements handcrafted from such all-natural materials as leaves, bark, and twigs, the display highlights landmarks visited by Vanderbilt, who, during his lifetime, crossed the Atlantic 60 times.

 

Hours extended until 9:00 p.m. during Chihuly Nights.

A Gardener’s Place Seminars: Water Gardens

Join Biltmore gardening experts in A Gardener’s Place shop located beneath the Conservatory for a complimentary gardening demonstration, Container Water Gardens. Learn how to make a splash in your garden, on your deck, or in your home with a unique, easy-to-create-and-care-for decorative living feature you’ll enjoy all summer long!
 

Explore our 8,000-acre Blue Ridge Mountain backyard and create memories to last a lifetime. Summer at Biltmore offers such fun family-friendly outdoor activities as hiking, biking, river float trips, and fly fishing. For a more restive pace, enjoy our magnificent gardens, bring a picnic, and relax in a quiet spot. Summer-time savings are available all season long, with $10 off per adult with seven-day advance purchase, and free admission for kids 16 and under!

As darkness falls across the Blue Ridge Mountains, Biltmore turns up the volume with Live After Five. Featuring energetic jazz and pop bands and casual dining options offering inspired takes on cookout favorites, it’s the perfect way to relax after a fun-filled day on the estate.

Bring your Land Rover and a guest to explore Biltmore’s 8,000-acre backyard! During this 6-hour, half-day event, you’ll become better acquainted with all the unique off-road capabilities your rugged vehicle has to offer. An expert Land Rover driving instructor will be on hand to show you how to navigate purpose-built courses featuring ascents, descents, side tilts, and challenging rocky terrain. A fun and exciting outing for both the novice and advanced driver, this special outing includes breakfast and lunch for you and your guest.

Summer Movie Night Under the Stars

Included in estate admission, with stay at The Inn, Village Hotel, or Cottage, or with Biltmore Annual Pass

Join us at Antler Hill Barn for a memorable movie night under the stars! Come early to find a good seat, play lawn games, and enjoy delicious Carolina barbecue and snacks available for purchase from The Smokehouse.

 

No reservations required. Reserved seating available to guests at The Inn and Village Hotel. Reserved seating will be held until 7:45 p.m.; all other seating is first come, first served.
