A casual and relaxing way to extend the Biltmore experience, Antler Hill Village & Winery connects the estate’s past and present with dining, shopping, exhibits, world-class food and wine, and more.

After instruction and off-road training exercises, your expert guide will lead the way down the paved Lagoon Trail, followed by hard-packed dirt and gravel surfaces.

Come to Antler Hill Village to enjoy our playground, featuring activities that connect the estate’s past with your children’s imagination with fun, healthy play.

Explore the estate’s off-road trails and scenic West Side roads aboard a new Outrider USA electric trike! Able to reach 20 mph on a variety of terrain, these three-wheeled electric recumbent tricycles offer a fun new way to experience Biltmore’s 8,000-acre backyard.

During this 90-minute experience, capture the feeling of being guided through Biltmore’s grand rooms by our curators and hosts. You’ll learn about learn about the Vanderbilts, their guests, and their servants, in addition to the surrounding architecture, design, and artwork.

After training, this tour follows gravel and dirt roads to the estate’s west side where you will enjoy beautiful views of pastures and vineyards while learning about Biltmore’s agricultural facilities.

Inspired by the Vanderbilt tradition of sharing afternoon tea with guests, The Dining Room’s unique take on this experience offers a welcome moment of leisure. Join us for a delightful sampling of fine cheeses, artfully prepared sweet and savory canapés, and a selection of Newby Teas, renowned as one of the world’s finest tea purveyors.

On the way back, you’ll enjoy a break in a location that offers a glorious view of Biltmore House.

Discover why chocolate and red wine are a match made in heaven! Featuring locally produced artisan chocolates from French Broad Chocolate and Chocolate Gems, and an opportunity to taste and experience the tactile attribute of a raw cacao bean, this tasting provides information about wine production at Biltmore, the process of farming origin-specific cacao, and its effects upon the finished product.

Experience the grounds at your own pace with nearly 22 miles of hiking trails. Enjoy a walk along the French Broad River, through lush green forests, or in the open meadows of the estate. Stop by the Bike Barn or Outdoor Adventure Center for a detailed trail map and orientation.

Biking

Varies from $15-$50

Explore the estate via more than 20 miles of biking trails, access to which is free for all guests! Choose from our well-marked, single-track woodland dirt trails for a challenging ride, or our flat, paved trail along the French Broad River for a more leisurely ride. Bring your own bike or rent one from us at the Bike Barn. Tag-alongs and trailers are also available.

This fun and entertaining tour is narrated by Cedric, the Vanderbilts’ Saint Bernard. Cedric guides kids through amazing rooms in Biltmore House, sharing stories about the Vanderbilts and living in America’s largest home.

See how science and nature intersect as you learn about the estate’s vineyards, discover the unique factors that affect grapes grown in North Carolina, and delve into the craft of fermentation. This guided tour concludes with a tasting of Biltmore wines in a private setting.

Experience the estate’s beauty during your 30-minute ride aboard our 8-passenger surrey carriage. A brief stop along the way provides stunning views of Biltmore House and an opportunity to meet the horses.

Spend two hours learning the basics of casting and then fish from a drift boat in the lagoon if time allows. All equipment provided. Minimum age is 12 years.

Farmyard Visits

Included in admission

Visit Antler Hill Farm for a complimentary introduction to farm life and farm animals that were an integral part of life on the estate. Animals residing at the Farmyard may include laying hens, lambs, calves, goats, and draft horses. Antler Hill Farm staff are on hand to explain the role animals play on the estate and engage in hands-on activities based on seasonal availability.

Private Carriage Ride

Starts at $350 for up to 4 guests

Enjoy the beauty of the estate on a private ride in an elegant vis-a-vis carriage drawn by Belgian draft horses. Three-to-four-day advance reservations are required. Also available for weddings.

Kids can enjoy a two-hour spin fishing lesson in the Lagoon or Long Valley Lake with a fishing instructor.

Come to the Winery in Antler Hill Village for a social hour hosted by our most knowledgeable wine aficionados. Savor delicious pairings of Biltmore wines and artisan cheeses and become better acquainted with the world of wine within a fun and welcoming environment.
Meet at the stained glass windows in the Wine Shop in the Winery at least 10 minutes prior to the event.

Learn the basics of fly-fishing and casting, including equipment, fly presentation, landing the fish, fly selection, and knots from our expert guides, and then practice your new skills from a drift boat in the Lagoon.

Not ready to drive, but want to see what it’s like? Let our expert driver take you on this 30-minute expedition over broken bridges, climb large boulders and rocks, and go on a sideways adventure tackling hills at new angles.

Customized to fit your skill and comfort levels, one-hour experiences cover the basics of expedition-style driving. Obstacles such as steep ascents, descents, and more offer an exciting adventure.

The effervescent introduction to Biltmore Winery’s award-winning sparkling wines takes you behind the scenes for an insider’s look at where our sparkling offerings are crafted using the traditional méthode champenoise. This special 45-minute program includes a tasting of each of our sparkling wines along with a selection of perfectly paired light bites.
