Dining at The Inn
The Dining Room
Please Note: The Dining Room will be closed from noon Sunday, January 27 through Friday, February 1. During this time, breakfast will be served in The Inn’s Olmsted Room, and lunch and dinner will be served in our Library Lounge.
Dine in an elegant setting of white tablecloths, beautiful views, and gracious service. The Dining Room, awarded Four Stars from Forbes Travel Guide in 2018, specializes in regional cuisine featuring estate-raised beef and lamb and fresh-picked ingredients from our kitchen gardens. Join us for afternoon tea, complete with traditional English finger sandwiches, scones, fruit breads, and tea pastries. Served daily from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. by reservation. Collared shirts and slacks suggested for men; dresses, skirts, or dress pants for women. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Make dining and afternoon tea reservations when you book your hotel stay online or by calling 828-225-1699.
Casual dining in an elegant setting. Enjoy a more casual lunch or dinner in our Library Lounge, and choose from a delicious seasonal menu with fresh estate ingredients. The relaxed setting of the Library also offers a great escape to read your favorite book or admire the breathtaking views of the estate.
What are you drinking? An old favorite or a special request? Let us mix it to your liking at our full-service Lobby Bar, open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. Alcohol service begins at noon on Sundays.
Available around the clock. The special breakfast menu, all-day menu, dinner menu, and overnight menu each feature favorite dishes and specialties of the house. Private receptions in your room or suite can be arranged upon request with 24 hours’ advance notice.
