Each spring, Biltmore’s talented Floral Design team creates stunning arrangements that fill the grand rooms of Biltmore House with the season’s vibrant colors. This year, they’ve taken things up a notch with this unique new display: five Vanderbilt-era costumes crafted entirely of such natural materials as fresh and dried flowers, ferns, grasses, leaves, and moss.
Inspired by fashions depicted in Biltmore House portraits and in the drama series The Gilded Age, each piece has been flawlessly executed in great detail, including hats, hair, buttons, shoes, and even a tiny animal companion!
