When I check for availability online, I get the message that nothing’s available. What can I do?
You may have too many people on your reservation request. Cottages accommodate up to five guests per reservation. At least one person on your reservation request must be an adult. For connecting or adjoining rooms, please contact our Reservations Department toll-free at 800-858-4130 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. ET and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.). For bookings of six or more rooms, please contact our Group Sales Department at 800-211-9805.

Will someone contact me prior to my stay?
Cottage Concierge will reach out to guests within 72 hours of booking to provide assistance planning their itinerary. Concierge will book all tickets and tours on the estate, make dining reservations, order special amenities, and address any special occasion requests.

- The Market Gardener’s Cottage is conveniently located a half mile from the estate entrance amid quiet fields and private gardens. See on estate map.

Are the Cottages accessible?
Due to the historic architecture of our Vanderbilt-era Cottages, they are not accessible for guests with limited mobility.
Rooms

Do you have smoking rooms or pet-friendly rooms?
Pets are not permitted at any of the lodging accommodations on the estate. ADA-regulated service animals are allowed.
All guest rooms and internal public areas at our lodging facilities are non-smoking. There are exterior areas designated for smokers.

Can we have dinner in our cottage?
Yes! Your cottage has a dining area that accommodates up to six guests, as well as a fully stocked kitchen.

Are there laundry facilities?
We offer dry cleaning and laundry services via Housekeeping. Please dial 0 to be connected.

What supplies will be included for bath and kitchen?
Bath: linens, towels, and bath toiletries. Kitchen: paper products and basic kitchen supplies. All items refreshed as needed.
Transportation

Do your lodging accommodations include transportation around the estate?
Biltmore does not offer complimentary estate-wide shuttle transportation.
Estate roads do not have sidewalks, and walking between different areas of the estate is not recommended due to travel distances. To enjoy and explore all Biltmore has to offer, we strongly recommend guests arrive in their own vehicle.
Biltmore offers complimentary shuttle service from the following locations:
- Round-trip to Biltmore House from Park & Ride lots (please park in Lots C, D, or E and follow the signs to the enclosed shuttle pickup/drop-off building)
- Round-trip from Biltmore House to the Conservatory in the Walled Garden from April through October
- Round-trip guest shuttle service from The Inn on Biltmore Estate® to Biltmore House® and Amherst at Deerpark®*
*Available exclusively for overnight guests at The Inn
Biltmore Express shuttle service is $15 per person per day (kids 9 and younger are free) and:
- Provides transportation between Biltmore’s Reception & Ticketing Sales Center, Biltmore House, Antler Hill Village, and Amherst at Deerpark®
- May be purchased in advance by calling 800-411-3812 or in-person on day of arrival at any Guest Services location
- Not available for Groups
ALL Biltmore Estate shuttles are accessible to wheelchair and stroller users.
Animals (with the exception of service animals) are not allowed on shuttles.
Note: wheeled luggage is NOT permitted in the Biltmore House & Gardens area. Please review our bag policy.

Do you offer transportation between Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) and Biltmore?
At this time, we do not provide transportation from the airport to the estate. Because Biltmore is best explored by car, we recommend reserving a rental vehicle in advance of your visit from any of the providers at the airport.

What if I arrive by Taxi, Uber, or Lyft?
If you plan to arrive by an external transportation service such as taxi, Uber, or Lyft, you will be dropped off at Biltmore House or Antler Hill Village. This is drop-off service only, not transportation between estate locations.
Biltmore does not offer complimentary estate-wide shuttle transportation. Estate roads do not have sidewalks, and walking between different areas of the estate is not recommended due to travel distances.
Biltmore offers an Express* shuttle service for $15 per person per day (kids 9 and younger are free) and limited complimentary shuttle service. For more information, view Estate Transportation.
