Experience FAQs

  • What can I expect of the Titanic exhibition?

An emotional experience featuring three-dimensional recreations, authentic personal objects, and a narrative that connects you to the ship’s passengers and crew, this exhibition reveals the true facts and authentic history of RMS Titanic.

An audio guide takes you back in time to that fateful day in 1912—a vivid exploration of the events leading up to the tragedy, it unravels the stories, hopes, and dreams of the people on board. You will see their personal belongings, photographs, and other relics, as well as recreations of the ship’s interior that include a first-class suite and a humble third-class cabin.

  • Does the Titanic exhibition feature real artifacts?

Yes. At the heart of the exhibition are nearly 200 original objects—authentic artifacts that belonged to passengers and crew that tell a powerful story about their everyday lives, dreams, and decisions. These pieces, along with original accounts and thoughtful storytelling shaped by experts (including acclaimed Titanic historian and author Claes-Göran Wetterholm), allow you to touch the human face of this disaster. The exhibition doesn’t simply recount what happened on April 15, 1912; it helps us understand why and how it happened, and its impact on history, through the lives and choices of those on board.

Many plans have been devised to raise Titanic, but what is left of it is now too fragile to move. The Titanic shipwreck is now an underwater UNESCO Heritage site.

  • How long should I plan to spend inside the Titanic exhibition?

The amount of time you spend is entirely up to you, as your visit is self-paced. We recommend allowing 1.5 to 2 hours to fully experience Titanic: The Human Story.

  • Is there an audio guide included with the Titanic exhibition?

Yes. Available to all exhibition ticket holders, an engaging and informative audio guide (approximate run-time: 60 minutes) was created to make the most of your experience. Available in English and Spanish, it combines narration, music, sound effects, and original testimonies from passengers and crew.

  • Can I take photos or videos inside the Titanic exhibition?
