  • Can I pack a picnic?

    Picnics with outside food and beverages are permitted in the following locations:

    • The sloped lawn in front of Diana*
    • Bass Pond and surrounding trails
    • Lagoon and surround trails

    *Space may be limited when private events are in progress.

    We invite you to visit Guest Services for additional picnic spot recommendations. 

    • Tailgating, including the use of tents, grills, multiple camping chairs/tables, and large coolers, is not permitted in Biltmore parking lots or on the grounds.
    • Outside food and beverage is not permitted in estate dining locations, Antler Hill Village or Biltmore House areas, including the Front Lawn area of Biltmore House, Stable Courtyard, and South Terrace.
    • No outside alcohol is ever permitted on Biltmore property.
  • Does Biltmore cater to special dietary needs?

    The following restaurants offer gluten-free options:

    • Bistro
    • Cedric’s® Tavern
    • The Dining Room
    • Library Lounge
    • Stable Cafe
    • Wine Bar at the Winery

    The following restaurants offer vegetarian options:

  • Do your restaurants have a dress code?

    For The Dining Room at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, collared shirts and slacks are suggested for men; dresses, skirts, or dress pants and blouses are suggested for women.

    All other estate restaurants recommend resort casual apparel.

  • Should I make dinner and afternoon tea reservations prior to my arrival?

    Dining reservations are strongly encouraged and may be made in advance by calling 800-411-3812. Evening dining choices include The Dining Room or Library Lounge at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, Village Social at Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate, Cedric’s® Tavern in Antler Hill Village, and Bistro adjacent to our Winery. Advance reservations for afternoon tea in The Dining Room at The Inn on Biltmore Estate are required.
