Transportation

  • Do your lodging accommodations include transportation around the estate?

    At this time, transportation is not included with lodging accommodations. We suggest that guests traveling without a car make reservations in advance for a rental vehicle.

  • How do I get around the estate if I don’t have a car?

    Because we do not offer estate-wide transportation, you will need to continue to utilize external transportation (such as personal vehicles, rental vehicles) throughout your visit.

    Note: wheeled luggage is NOT permitted in the Biltmore House & Gardens area. Please review our bag policy.

  • Do you offer transportation between Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) and Biltmore?

    At this time, we do not provide transportation from the airport to the estate. Because Biltmore is best explored by car, we recommend reserving a rental vehicle in advance of your visit from any of the providers at the airport.

  • What if I arrive by Taxi, Uber, or Lyft?

    Because Biltmore is best explored by car, we recommend reserving a rental vehicle in advance of your visit from any of the providers at the airport.

    If you plan to arrive by an external transportation service such as Taxi, Uber, or Lyft, you may request they take you to any estate location. Taxi, Uber, or Lyft transportation in the Asheville area may be limited and create longer wait times.

  • Do you offer transportation to Biltmore House?

    At this time, we do not offer this service.

    We offer complimentary shuttle service to Biltmore House from parking lots C, D, and E only when lots A and B (walking distance lots) are full.

    Complimentary shuttle service from Biltmore House to the Conservatory in the Walled Garden is available April through October.

    Face coverings are required for employees and guests on all estate shuttles. Animals (with the exception of service animals) are not allowed on shuttles.

Dining and Shopping

  • Should I make dinner and afternoon tea reservations prior to my arrival?

    Dining reservations are strongly encouraged and may be made in advance by calling our Reservations Department toll-free at 866-336-1245 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. ET and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.). Advance reservations for Afternoon Tea in The Dining Room at The Inn on Biltmore Estate are required.

  • Do your restaurants have a dress code?

    For The Dining Room at Inn, collared shirts and slacks are suggested for men; dresses, skirts, or dress pants and blouses are suggested for women. All other estate restaurants recommend resort casual apparel.

  • Will I be able to charge purchases to my room?

    Purchases at any restaurant or shop on the estate may be charged to your room, provided you have established credit upon check-in by presenting your valid, current credit card.
