Titanic: The Human Story Coming to Biltmore Dec. 26

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (September 29, 2026)

More than a century after the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic, the story continues to captivate audiences around the world. Beginning Dec. 26, 2026, Biltmore will present Titanic: The Human Story at Amherst at Biltmore, inviting guests to explore the Titanic tragedy through the personal stories of those who experienced it. The exhibition features more than 200 original artifacts, three-dimensional recreations, and immersive storytelling by acclaimed Titanic experts. It will remain at Biltmore through Jan. 9, 2028.

At the heart of the exhibition are original belongings of Titanic passengers and crew, including photographs, handwritten letters, and personal keepsakes, offering a glimpse into the lives and experiences of those aboard the ship. Three-dimensional recreations of select Titanic interiors provide a sense of daily life aboard the ship, while an audio guide brings the stories to life through original testimonies, narration, music and sound effects.

Biltmore is partnering with Musealia of Spain, the international exhibition producer and owner of Titanic: The Human Story. Curated in collaboration with renowned Titanic historian Claes-Göran Wetterholm, the exhibition draws on more than 40 years of research into the lives of those who traveled aboard the Titanic. Musealia also supports the preservation of the Titanic wreckage as an underwater UNESCO-protected site.
