TROPICAL STORM HELENE UPDATE: WE ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED. VIEW DETAILS.

As of October 7, 2024

Biltmore is temporarily closed as our community continues focusing on recovery efforts. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this crisis together and we are committed to providing updates as they are available.

Impacts on the Estate:
While our focus remains on our employees and communities affected, we are assessing impacts to the estate from Tropical Storm Helene. Like all of this region, conditions vary by location across our 8,000-acre property.

Biltmore House and our conservatory, winery, gardens, and hotels received minimal or no damage from the storm. In forested areas, crews are clearing debris from roads and inspecting wind damage. The entrance to Biltmore and other low-lying areas of the property experienced flooding which has receded. We are assessing structures and roadways in those areas. As with all of our neighbors who experienced the effects of Helene, we are working on our plans for a swift recovery and look forward to welcoming our guests to this region as soon as it is safe to do so.

To Our Employees:
You remain our top priority as our community begins recovery from this devastating storm. Entrance to the estate is not permitted without direction from your supervisor. If you have not already, please check in with your team to let us know you and your loved ones are safe. We will be sending updates through our emergency notification system and to personal email addresses while our company network is down. You can also check here for closure information until we are able to repair our internal communication channels.

To Our Community:
We are heartbroken for our friends, family, and neighbors across this region who have been devastated by this storm. To our first responders, utility workers, and community volunteers, we are eternally grateful for your endless care and courage. We will all work together to recover from this unprecedented disaster.

To Our Passholders and Club Members:
Estate access remains closed to Biltmore Annual Passholders, Vanderbilt Wine Club members, and Sporting Clay Club members until further notice. We look forward to welcoming you back once we have safely reopened.

To Our Daytime, Overnight, and Event Guests:
We understand you may have questions regarding cancellations and refunds. Daytime and overnight guests may reference the resource information below. Private events will be contacted directly by our teams.

We appreciate your patience with delays in processing refunds as we work to repair our internal network and communication systems.

Your outpouring of concern for our region has been heartwarming and we are deeply grateful to our guests who want to help our community during this challenging time.
